This is for the championship of the North division in our league. It was two teams from the same town facing off in a hometown sort of battle. All I can say is WOW what a game.
It was yet another great football day with fabulous weather. Sun and not a lot of wind.
I was cheering and screaming and the boys did fabulous! Vern had been demoted to basically second stringer for the last few games but the first string kid went out on the first play of the game with a concussion so Vern had to step up and play almost the entire game. He was one tired boy by the end but I have to say he did GREAT!

Where did everyone go? Vern must be so mean they all ran away from him :-)
The final score. We were the guests (underdogs) and won!!!!
Here is the after game talking to. They boys tried to douse the coach with water but coach ended up with the cooler of water and some of the boys were wetter than coach!
We had special spectators for this game. Vern's grandma, grandpa and aunt who was up all the way from 2 states away came to watch. They had a good time and we all went for Pizza after the game.
