OUCH

Vern was naughty today. It is not like he hasn't had any attention this weekend. We tried so hard and his short fuse just gets the best of him...

He flies off the handle so easy. Today was unacceptable. He was very disrespectful in a holy shrine.  He threw rocks at the statue and called his sister and me a b*tch.

THAT didn't go over to well and he got a spanking for that.

Just don't know what to do with him sometimes.

Kites away!!!!!!

Vern had kite flying as a reward at school today. He wanted to practice over the weekend so he could be ready for today. Here are some shots of his kite flying. Superman is there trying to fly his kite in one :-)

Vern did end up getting written up at school. The string broke on his kite and he went running across the street to get it before it blew away. He just didn't understand safety first.

Vern's Birthday

No today was not Vern's birthday it was Vern's birthday.

HU?

It was Vern's grandpa's birthday today. His real name is Vern!

AH HA. Now some of you may get the connection.

Vern was excited to see his grandpa tonight and wish him Happy Birthday but the best part of the evening was their aunt Michele.

She cracked Vern and Ann up by being wild and loud and making fun of their schools. They both mentioned how much fun she was tonight. I'm glad she was able to be there for them and brighten their day.

Here is another sample of Vern's homework. He just makes me laugh.

The paper started with - I wish I were...

Vern said - a cow so I can eat grass. When humins eat grass they get sick.

The paper continued with - I'm glad I am...

Vern wrote - Vern because I am good at mutublcation (multiplication).

At least he didn't say spelling :-)

Vern's How to make an Apple Pie

Ingredients for pie dough:
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 tablespoon ginger
yeast
Mix slowly

Ingredients for pie filling:
10 apples cut up
juice
Mix fast!

Directions for making the pie:
Put in small container and mix it hard.
375 degree temperature
11 minutes

What it takes to flush a toilet

Flushing a toilet is simple.

1. Do your business.
2. Put lid down.
3. Reach to the side of the toilet to that little handle thingy and push down.

WA LAAAA
Toilet is flushed.

Vern has much difficulty with this task.  He seems to think after step 1 he is finished and everyone else will be excited to see his business.

His older brother and sister give him grief and sometimes I think he does it just to egg them on. Sigh...

The other craziness that occurs is the loud singing and yelling and talking that goes on while Vern is doing his business. You would think there is a party of 8 people in that bathroom whooping it up. WHY?!??!?!!?

So anyway tonight was yet another episode of "VERNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN you didn't flush. Get in there and flush!"  He ignored his brothers wails so...

 After telling him multiple times just this week to flush he had to pay up. Get the piggy bank out and get him where it hurts.  Will it help? We shall see.

We will get to washing hands another time...

I think I have been doing a bad job of paying attention. I mean Vern is always good for a story but I don't seem to have much lately. Must be a dry spell for DA MOM.

Vern had fun on his camping trip except he only caught one fish and it rained.

Vern brought home some cool artwork from school today. I am biased though because I am DA MOM and I think it is specatular.

He is anxiously counting down the days until school is out.

He is still in love with his sleep clock.

Vern told me he loved me and that always melts my heart.
